Our adult ministry consists of a weekly Sunday school and special groups and activities throughout the year. Sunday school for all ages is conducted on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:45am.
Friendship Sunday School Class - Our adult Sunday school class is true to its name--Friendship. This group of loving adults meets each Sunday morning for a time of singing, prayer, sharing needs and joys, and studying God's word.
Ruth Thurmond Circle - Our adult ladies meet the first Thursday of each month at 1:00pm at the church for circle. They have prayer and devotions, participate in practical ministry actions (such as preparing relief kits for Haiti and rolling bandages), and enjoy a time of fellowship. The Ruth Thurmond Circle welcomes the participation of any of the ladies in our church or community.
Men's Breakfast - Our men meet the first Saturday of each month at 8am for breakfast and a time of prayer and devotions. The meeting is open to all men in our community. This ecumenical event is hosted on a rotating basis by churches in our community. For the current scheduled meeting location please check our current newsletter under the Resources tab.
Special Events such as trips and fellowships are held throughout the year.
"To Haiti with Love" - In February 2010 we had a Valentine's Day event entitled "To Haiti with Love." It was a time to honor our loved ones and also to raise money for our One Great Hour of Sharing mission offering for relief of earthquake ravaged Haiti. Our youth prepared the food and served it to participants from our church and community in the Fellowship Hall. They also delivered meals to shut-ins who could not be present. Blennerhassett Excursion - On June 24, 2010 our adults and families took an excursion to Blennerhassett Island near Parkersburg, WV. This was a fun time of adventure and fellowship. We enjoyed the conversation of the drive to and from Parkersburg, a river boat ride to the island, dinner on the grounds, a hayride around the island, and tours of the mansion. It was a late night arrival back home, but it was worth it. Click on the links below to view some pictures from our adventure.
